Ram Charan Learned Wrestling From Dangal Coach For Peddi

Ram Charan did hard training for his new film Peddi. The rural sports action movie releases on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Director Buchi Babu Sana said Ram Charan trained in wrestling for three to four months. The team hired the same coach who trained Aamir Khan for Dangal. Real wrestlers from Telangana also joined the shoot. All actors got special training before the scenes. The trailer shows Ram Charan playing cricket and wrestling. His character is strong in many sports.
Buchi Babu Sana spoke to the media about the effort. He said cricket is common, but wrestling needs extra care. So they brought the Dangal trainer to Hyderabad. The coach taught moves, body balance, and match rules. The team practiced daily on mud pits and mats. Local wrestlers helped with real techniques. This made the fight scenes look natural and powerful. Janhvi Kapoor, Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, and Divyenndu also trained for their parts.
Ram Charan got hurt while shooting the wrestling part. He said the injury happened three to four days before the scene. He did not take an MRI at first. He feared it would stop the shoot. He kept working for 20 days. One muscle tear became seven tears after the long shoot. Still, he did not miss any day. He wanted to finish Peddi on time for fans. Doctors advised rest, but he completed the action parts first.
Peddi is made by Vriddhi Cinemas and Sukumar Writings. A R Rahman gave the music. The film has big action, village sports, and strong emotions. Ram Charan changed his body for the role. He followed a strict diet and gym plan with the wrestling coach. Fans are excited to see his new look and action. Advance booking is already strong in Telugu states. The film has already hit the screens with premier shows from June 3 night.
