Mrunal Thakur Joins Venu Yellandi Yellamma

Director Venu Yellandi won hearts across the country with his first film Balagam. Now he is ready with his second film called Yellamma. The title is unique and the story is set in rural Telangana. The film has been in the news for a long time because of the heroine selection. The team wanted an actress who can handle strong emotional scenes.
First, reports said Sai Pallavi was asked, but she could not do it due to dates. Then Keerthy Suresh’s name came up and many thought she was final. Shruti Haasan, Bhagyashree Borse, and Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth were also considered. Now the buzz is that Mrunal Thakur is almost locked for the role. She became popular with Sita Ramam and has a good image for emotional acting.
Reports say the team feels she will add great value to the film. This will be another strong Telugu project for her after Hi Nanna, Family Star and Dacoit. The official announcement on the heroine is expected very soon. Yellamma has another big surprise. Music director Devi Sri Prasad is making his debut as a hero. He will play a powerful character named Parsi. His look in the first glimpse got a good response online.
DSP is also giving music for the film, so fans will get a double treat. The story talks about Telangana culture, folk arts, and spiritual themes. The glimpses showed neem leaves, turmeric, saffron, and sounds of gajjelu which made the film look very rooted. Dil Raju and Sirish are producing it on a big budget under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The shoot will start at full speed once the heroine is announced. The plan is to release Yellamma in Telugu and other South languages as a pan India film.
