Vaazha 2 To Stream On OTT From May 8
Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros is one of the biggest hits from Malayalam cinema this year. The coming of age drama shocked everyone by collecting more than 200 crore worldwide. Directed by Savin SA in his first film, it became the fastest Malayalam movie to enter the 200 crore club in Kerala. It beat records set by Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra which took 24 days and Mohanlal’s Thudarum which took 19 days.
Audience who missed it in theatres can now watch it at home. The film will stream on JioHotstar from May 8 in multiple languages. JioHotstar Malayalam shared this on X saying “Bros are back by demand”. The story is about four friends Hashir, Alan, Ajin, and Vinayak. People call them troublemakers. They deal with school pressure, family expectations, and growing up.
The film shows how their friendship helps them understand life and themselves. Hashir H, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak V play the lead roles. Vijay Babu, Aju Varghese, Bijukuttan, Alphonse Puthren, and Sudheesh are also part of the cast. The first film Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys came in 2024. It was directed by Anand Menen and written by Vipin Das. Both films got a lot of love from young viewers.
After the huge success of Vaazha 2, the makers have announced Vaazha 3. The next part is called Biopic of Billion Girls. This time the lead cast will be all women. Debut director Viswan Sreejith will handle it. Writer Vipin Das said on Instagram that the Vaazha series is meant to bring new talent into cinema. He said the title will stay the same, but new faces will come in front and behind the camera. The shoot for Vaazha 3 will start next year.
