Dhurandhar The Revenge To Emerge As Highest Tickets Sold For A Hindi Film Premiers

Dhurandhar 2's advance bookings are surging, with nearly six lakh tickets sold across multiplex chains, putting the Ranveer Singh starrer close to historic Hindi cinema records. The film's early ticket sales indicate it could become one of the biggest Hindi openers in terms of pre-release demand. 

The surge in bookings is particularly strong at PVR INOX, India's largest multiplex chain, with over 1.5 lakh tickets sold. This marks the highest premiere day advance booking ever recorded for a Bollywood film at PVR INOX. Trade analysts attribute the strong start to the massive anticipation surrounding the sequel.

Multiplex-heavy markets like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad report high demand, with premium-format and late-night shows filling up quickly. With bookings nearing the six lakh ticket mark, Dhurandhar 2 is approaching the benchmark set by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which holds the record with 6.50 lakh tickets sold in advance.

The film's release strategy includes multiple paid preview shows a day before the official release, contributing to its overall advance sales figures. Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, starring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. With its strong start, Dhurandhar 2 is poised to break major pre-sales records, potentially becoming one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time.
