The Raja Saab Locks OTT Streaming Date

The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Malavika Mohanan, was one of the most awaited films of 2026. Directed by Maruthi, this horror comedy was promoted aggressively, but despite the hype, it ended as a disaster at the box office. The film was made on a budget of Rs 450 crore but managed to collect only Rs 230 crore worldwide, leaving the makers with losses of nearly Rs 100 crore, even after the OTT deal.

The Raja Saab will be available for streaming on JioHotstar from February 6, 2026. The digital rights were bagged by JioHotstar for a decent amount, considering the film's box office performance. The movie features Prabhas as a grandson searching for his grandfather, played by Sanjay Dutt, who turns into an evil spirit living in a haunted house.

The film's poor performance can be attributed to its uneven screenplay, inconsistent writing, and excessive use of CGI. Despite Prabhas' star power, the film failed to live up to expectations. The Raja Saab also features Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab in key roles, with music composed by Thaman.

The OTT release gives the film a second chance, and it will be interesting to see how it performs with digital audiences. With its mix of horror and comedy, The Raja Saab might still find its audience on OTT platforms.
