Sreeleela reacts to Jana Nayagan being Bhagavanth Kesari remake. Even though the makers of Vijay's Jana Nayagan rubbished the rumours that the film directed by Vinoth is the remake of Balakrishna's  Bhagavanth Kesari directed by Anil Ravipudi, the trailer showed the stark similarities.

Much to the disappointment of all the Vijay's fans, Jana Nayagan which was supposed to release on 9 Jan 2026 was postponed following the censor delay and the subsequent controversy. In the midst of all this, Sreeleela who played the key role in Balakrishna's Bhagavanth Kesari reacted to the Jana Nayagan being the remake of Bhagavanth Kesari.

She said "I do not know if it is a proper remake". Eventually, the actor said that it is "amazing" that Vijay is part of a retelling of what she considers a film with a "beautiful story".

Sreeleela in the meantime is making her Kollywood debut with Sivakarthikeyan's Parasakthi directed by Sudha Kongara. The film is slated for release on 10 Jan 2026.
