No Impact from Avatar 3 Dhurandhar Holds Strong

Dhurandhar, the sensational blockbuster hit of the year, continues to rewrite box office records and has created a big record for its 2nd week. Despite facing stiff competition from James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash, the Ranveer Singh starrer is holding strong at the box office. In just 2 weeks, the film has collected a whopping 460 Cr net in India and 700 Cr worldwide gross, with official reporting numbers expected to be even higher.

The film's success can be attributed to its exceptional performance in the second week, where it collected 253.5 Cr net, making it the highest second-week collection ever for a Hindi film. Dhurandhar has also become the 9th film in Hindi to enter the prestigious 500 Cr net club and is on track to surpass Pushpa 2's record of 730 Cr net. With the Christmas and New Year holidays ahead, the film is expected to continue its winning streak.

Dhurandhar's overseas performance has also been impressive, with the film crossing the $10 million mark in North America and becoming Ranveer Singh's highest-grossing film globally. The film's total collection stands at around 482 Cr net in 15 days, and it is expected to breach the 1000 Cr milestone soon. According to early estimates, Dhurandhar is expected to score 22-23 Cr net collection on its third Friday, making it the biggest third Friday ever in Hindi.

The film's third weekend is expected to be in the range of 80 Cr net, which will be a record third weekend in Hindi.  With its current momentum, Dhurandhar is likely to remain the number 1 movie this weekend and continue to dominate the box office. As the film approaches the 700 Cr gross mark worldwide, it will be interesting to see if it can surpass Pushpa 2's record and become the biggest Hindi net grosser.
