Dharma Mahesh inaugurated Jismat Jail Mandi

Tollywood actor and entrepreneur Dharma Mahesh inaugurated the third branch of Jismat Jail Mandi Restaurant in Guntur on December 11, 2025, marking another major milestone in his rapidly expanding food venture. The grand opening, held at 6 PM, became a vibrant celebration as over a thousand people participated in a massive bike rally, giving a heroic welcome to Dharma Mahesh upon his entry to the venue. 

The event was a deeply personal and emotional moment for Mahesh as he was accompanied by his entire family, including his mother Kakani Aruna, father Kakani Venkateswara Rao, sister Kakani Bhagya Lakshmi, and Jismat’s Legal Advisor and High Court Advocate Nagurbabu N, all of whom played key roles in the ceremony. Mahesh’s culinary journey began in 2017 with the launch of Gismat Arabic Mandi in Guntur, which quickly transformed into a household name across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through its unique Jail Mandi and Arabic Mandi concepts. 

Over the years, the brand expanded to more than 17 branches, earning a strong following for its authentic flavours and distinctive dining experience. Earlier this year, Mahesh restructured the business by converting his proprietorship into Gismat Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., strengthening the organisation for wider expansion. In a heartfelt decision, he also rebranded the company from Gismat to Jismat, dedicating the new name to his son Jhagadwaja, whose name begins with the letter “J.” The Guntur opening symbolises not only the growth of the brand but also the emotional journey with his son Jhagadwaja.
