Spine Chilling Horror Dies Irae To Stream On OTT From December 5

Pranav Mohanlal's horror thriller, Dies Irae, is set to release on JioHotstar on December 5, 2025. The film, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, has earned praise for its haunting atmosphere and strong technical craft during its theatrical run. The Malayalam film was also dubbed into Telugu with the same title and released in Theatres.

Dies Irae has amassed an estimated ₹82 crore worldwide, with ₹40.88 crore from India and ₹33 crore from overseas markets. The film's success can be attributed to its striking cinematography, atmospheric score, effective horror elements, tight screenplay, and brisk runtime. Critics have praised the film's performances, direction, and technical aspects. With its impressive run, Dies Irae has become the fourth highest grossing Malayalam film of 2025 and ranks as the 21st highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time.

The film tells the story of Rohan Shankar, an Indo-American architect played by Pranav Mohanlal, whose life falls apart after his former classmate Kani commits suicide. Rohan is tormented by enigmatic and supernatural forces, leading him to seek help from a traditional exorcist, Madhu Potti. The film features a strong cast, including Jibin Gopinath, Arun Ajikumar, and Sushmita Bhat.

Dies Irae is Rahul Sadasivan's fourth consecutive horror film, following Red Rain, Bhoothakaalam, and Bramayugam. The film extends the narrative universe established in Bhoothakaalam and Bramayugam, marking another entry in Sadasivan's growing horror canon.
