Period Film Swayambhu Wraps Shoot Locks Release Date

Nikhil, known for his Pan India blockbuster Karthikeya 2, is back with his most ambitious film, Swayambhu. Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, this historical action epic is produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under Pixel Studios and presented by Tagore Madhu. With top tier production values and a powerful Pan India vision, Swayambhu is one of Nikhil's most prestigious ventures to date.

The makers have confirmed that the monumental production has officially wrapped its shoot after an intense two year journey and 170 days of extensive filming. Swayambhu is set to conquer theatres worldwide on Maha Shivaratri, February 13, 2026. The film is an epic celebration of India's rich history and timeless glory, delving into untold chapters of the past and featuring a formidable warrior's saga.

Nikhil shared insights into the journey in a release date announcement video, Rise Of Swayambhu, showcasing the world building and grand making. The actor underwent a complete physical transformation and rigorous training to portray the demanding role with authenticity and intensity. He even dubbed his own role in the Hindi version to lend greater authenticity to the narrative.

The film boasts an impressive cast, including Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh as the female leads, and an exceptional technical team, featuring visual maestro KK Senthil Kumar, acclaimed composer Ravi Basrur, and production designers M. Prabhaharan and Raveendra. With the shoot now wrapped, anticipation is soaring for this Pan India spectacle.
