Priyadarshi is known for his penchant for doing feel good and different genre entertainers. He tasted success with Court and made an impression with Sarangapani Jathakam and Mithra Mandali. He is now coming to entertain with romantic flick Premante. The film stars Aanandhi as the female lead and is directed by Navaneeth Sriram. Premante OTT rights are yet to be inked and announcement will come once the deal is finalised. The film is releasing on 21 November 2025.
Premante story revolves around young couple falling in love and then how their lives take a drastic turn after marriage due to circumstances.
Madhusudan Rao (Priyadarshi), owner of Sujata Security Services and Ramya (Aanandhi), rejects various alliance proposals seen by their parents before they end up entering into the wedlock.
How their new journey starts and how they overcome the roadblocks and what role Head Constable Asha Mary (Suma), Inspector, SHO Sampath Kumar (Vennela Kishore) form the interesting part of the narration.
Priyadarshi impresses with his natural and realistic charm. He came up with an impressive performance. He showed good expressions and emotions and made an impact on the screen.
Aanandhi complimented him well on the screen. She looked good on the screen with her looks. She expressed well as a modern girl who deals with the various pressures and household chores. The chemistry between Priyadarshi and Aanandhi stands out and they entertained with their hilarious antics.
Vennela Kishore and Suma brought in their experience and managed to entertain with their comedy. Others performed according to their roles.
Premante story is penned by Navaneeth Ram. On debut he came up with a relatable story and showed the scenes in a natural way. He tried to show the differences between young couple after marriage and highlighted it with emotions. He blended the emotions, conflict and drama revolving around hilarious scenes.
He started the narration in an interesting way but quickly side tracks from the main point and included many comedy scenes that are forced and looked out of sync with the storyline. After few such scenes, the first half ends with an interesting twist setting the tone for the second half.
The second half continued in the same vein and the entertainment takes to new heights. The humour drives the story forward and it continues in the same manner before the film enters the pre climax. Pre Climax and climax is emotional and dragged to an extent and finally film comes to an end on a happy note. There are scenes that looked silly and illogical and narration lacked the pace.
Vishwanath Reddy's cinematography is good and showed the scenes in a natural way removing artificial flavor. He turned the scenes vibrant adding freshness with his camera angles. The music of Leone James showed the romance between the young couple. The songs are situational and shot in an appealing manner. His background music carried the essence of the story taking viewers along with him. Raghavendra Thirun's editing is ok but could have been far better. Dialogues are good and production values are fine.
Altogether, Premante turns out to be a hilarious entertainer. Priyadarshi and Aanandhi came up with commendable performances and director Navaneeth Ram on debut came up with a youthful love story with hilarious scenes. The story is simple , but the screenplay and direction turns out to be decent. Though there are predictable elements, he managed to entertain viewers with few comedy scenes. A little seriousness in the narration, racy screenplay and fine tuning of the script, it would have helped the film's final result. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for Premante.
