Actress Lakshmi Menon Wanted in Abduction and Torture Case

Popular Tamil, Malayalam actress Lakshmi Menon is reportedly a person of interest in the abduction and assault of an IT employee in Kochi. The incident, which took place on August 24, was captured on video and shows Menon and several associates forcefully blocking a car on a public road. The victim was then forcibly removed from his vehicle and taken away in another car.

Police believe the abduction and subsequent assault were acts of revenge stemming from a previous dispute between two rival groups at a local bar. Police arrest three individuals,

A manhunt is now underway to find and apprehend her. Based on a complaint from Sonamol, one of the arrested suspects, police have also filed a case against a member of the rival group. Kochi City Police Commissioner Putta Wimaladitya confirmed to media that Lakshmi Menon has been on the run since the incident and that a thorough investigation is ongoing to determine her exact role in the crime.

Lakshmi Menon, born on May 19, 1996, is a well known actress who has appeared in both Malayalam and Tamil films. She began her career with a supporting role in the 2011 Malayalam film Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya before making her Tamil debut as a lead in Sundara Pandian in 2012. She played sister role to Ajith in Vedalam and was last seen in Aadhi Starrer Sabdham. Throughout her career, she has received numerous accolades for her work, including a Filmfare Award South, a Tamil Nadu State Film Award, and two SIIMA Awards.
