Vasishta powerful take on Vishwambhara copy allegations. All eyes are on Mega Star Chiranjeevi's socio fantasy entertainer Vishwambhara. The film is bringing back memories of Chiranjeevi's yesteryear classic Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari.

In the midst of all this, director Vasishta reacted angrily on the allegations that Vishwambhara was copied from Hollywood films like Avatar. He said it has become fashion for everyone that whatever Hollywood does is great and we draw inspiration from them.

He questioned whether the scenes shown in Vishwambhara teaser or Avatar film were seen for the first time. He pointed out that Avatar came in 2008 but in the 1998 edition of Chandamama , many such scenes were described. He said he would have been happy had someone accused him of copying from Chandamama.

He said before Hulk in Hollywood, Super Star Krishna came up with a film called Mahabaludu, and before Hollow Man in Hollywood, Krishna came up with the film called Sabhash Satyam and said the scene where people walk on sticks in Harry Potter was done long-time back by Ramanareddy in Telugu.

He said people are used to praise Hollywood and accuse Indian filmmakers of copying from them, rather than pointing that Hollywood drew inspiration from us.
