Is Anushka Chakda Xpress shelved?. Long time back, King Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma signed a project titled Chakda Xpress. The film is a biopic on Indian female cricketer Jhulan Goswami.

Now rumours are spreading that the project has been shelved. Speaking about it, Dibyendu Bhattacharya who is playing an important role in the project said “You don’t know how badly I’m waiting for the film to release because it is a fantastic film,"

He added  “I always tell people… I watched it at Prosit’s [director Prosit Roy] place. I told him, ‘It’s not releasing, but since you have it, at least show it to me.’ He said it wasn’t completely finished, not everything had been done, but I watched it and… it is such a beautiful film."

He showered praises on Anushka saying “It is the best performance of Anushka Sharma to date. I don’t know why they are not releasing it. It’s a really, really fantastic film."

On whether the project was postponed, he said “I have no idea,"  He continued “If I had any information about the film, I would tell you first. I really don’t know because Clean Slate is on one side and Netflix is on the other. What’s going on between the two, I have no clue,"

He shared “As an actor, I really want the film to see the light of day. A lot of hard work goes into making a film. From the day research begins to the final print, it’s a long and emotionally invested journey. So many people are involved. So many ambitions ride on one film. Many families run on the income generated through it – technicians, daily wage workers. It’s very sad."

He added “I want the film to release immediately," he further stated, “And I’m telling you – it’s a fantastic film. A brilliant film. And Anushka’s best performance till now."
