Chaitra J Achar looked good on the screen and did justice for her role.
Sarath Kumar displayed strong emotions and expressions, elevating the scenes with his performance. The scenes featuring Siddharth and Sarath Kumar came out quite well. These scenes elevated the narration to another level.
Devayani impressed all with her performance in the role of the housewife. Meetha Raghunath made an impression with her performance.
Yogi Babu and others performed according to their roles.
3 BHK story is penned by Sri Ganesh. He came up with a relatable story and tried to connect chords with the movie lovers. He planned to highlight the emotions and struggles of a middle-class family when they try to realise their dream of having their own house.
The story turned out to be simple and the narration is predictable. The slow pace and serial flavour in the story impacted the film's final output. The first half generates as the director showed Siddharth in three different timelines to surprise and thrill all his fans and movie lovers. To the top of it, the emotions loaded in the middle class family is highlighted with the scenes featuring Sarath Kumar, Devayani and Meetha Raghunath.
The first half ends with a decent twist setting the stage for the second half. However from the second half, the screenplay treads a linear direction bereft of any interesting developments. To the top of it, the serial type portrayal of characters and repetitive scenes and serial like emotions ended up testing the patience of the viewers.
The music of Amrit Ramnath is in sync with the storyline. He elevated the scenes with his background music. Dinesh B Krishnan and JIthin Stanislau with their Cinematography, added value to the proceedings. With their camera angles they gave natural and realistic feel to the viewers. Ganesh Siva's editing could have been better. Dialogues are good, relatable and natural. Production values are good.
Altogether, the 3 BHK story turned out of predictable slow burner. Sri Ganesh came up with a relatable story and got natural and realistic Performances from Siddharth, Sarath Kumar and others. However, the 80s type story and predictable screenplay and direction bereft of any twists robbed the viewers of all the excitement. He has taken many cinematic liberties and convenient screenplay spoiled the feel. Little fine tuning of the script and racy screenplay would have added value to the narration. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for 3BHK.
