Thammudu (2025) Movie: What's Behind

Nithiin who attained stardom with youthful romantic entertainers has been trying his best to make an impact with mass entertainers. He is coming to entertain with his upcoming film Thammudu directed by Venu Sriram. With his previous films failing to make an impact at the box office, he is pinning all his hopes on this film. Thammudu OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix for a fancy sum. Let us see how Nithiin entertained movie lovers with Thammudu.

Thammudu (2025) Movie: Story Review

Thammudu story revolves around brother-sister bonding and how strong their relationship will be when different difficult situations try to rock them in their lives.

Jay ( Nithiin), an aspiring archer is confident of winning gold for India despite being unable to hit the Bulls eye. What is bothering him, how it is related to Chitra ( Varsha Bollamma), Ratna( Saptami Gowda), Jhansi Kiranmayi (Laya) , Agarwal (Saurabh Sachdeva), Sanjay Krishna( Balagam Sanjay Krishna), Business Owner ( Kishore Raju Vasishta), Sekhar ( Reddi Bhanu Prasad) form the interesting part of the narration.

Thammudu (2025) Movie: Artists Review

Nithiin played the role tailor made for him. He played similar such roles earlier. He did what was required of him. He didn't get scope to show variations in his character. He showed emotions accordingly and expressed himself as per his role. He enacted stunts with ease and delivered dialogues trying to elevate the emotions.

Varsha Bollamma did well in her role of Nithiin's friend. She did justice to her role but at times overreacted. Sapthami Gowda is shown in a different manner as a village belle but her role though important lacked the substance.

Yesteryear actress Laya is good and she as usual is seen in the role of a woman who is in distress and danger and her entire family looking for help.

Saurabh Sachdeva is ok in the role of the antagonist. Others like Swasika, Hari Teja, Srikanth Iyyengar, Temper Vamshi, Chammak Chandra performed accordingly.

Thammudu (2025) Movie: Technicians Review

Thammudu story is penned by Venu Sriram. He starts the narration in an interesting and exciting manner promising something different. But much to the disappointment of all, from then on the story, screenplay and direction assumes a familiar trope.

The unique characterization of the villain generates interest but the weak development of the character dissipates all the excitement. From then on the routine introduction of the hero and others follow, testing the patience of all and turning everything into a laughing stock.

For all the hard work, the familiar emotions and action sequences fail to connect chords with the viewers. One expects a better second half but it turns out to be even more of a burden to watch on the screen.

The so-called brother and sister emotions are not highlighted in a proper manner and with this the main impact is diluted. The film failed on all fronts be it emotions or action. With a routine story, silly Screenplay and out-dated direction, the film failed to take off from the start.

Ajaneesh Loknath's music is situational. However He made a powerful impact elevating the scenes with his background music.

K.V Guhan, Sameer Reddy, Setu with their Cinematography is good. They tried to show the scenes adding value to the narration. Prawin Pudi with his editing could have been far better. There are many scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. Dialogues are decent and production values are good.

Thammudu (2025) Movie: Advantages

  • BGM
  • Cinematography

Thammudu (2025) Movie: Disadvantages

  • Story, Screenplay, Direction
  • Editing
  • Missing Emotions

Thammudu (2025) Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Thammudu turns out to be an outdated entertainer. Director Venu Sriram starts the narration in an interesting manner but from then on monotony creeps on and even Nithiin with all his sincerity fails to change the outcome. Lack of spine in the story, screenplay and direction played spoilsport with the outcome. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.75 rating for Thammudu.
