Exhibitors give deadline to shutdown theatres

It is known that exhibitors and distributors are facing huge losses due to the current system in the Theatres and they have been demanding producers to resolve the issue. Dil Raju,  chairman of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation is expected to meet the distributors to iron out the differences.

Now, more than 65 Exhibitors from AP and TS met today in the Telugu Film Chamber and passed the resolution to shut down the Theatres from 1 June 2025 if their following demands are not met.

They came up with the following demands.

1 They made it clear that will not be able to screen films  on rental basis .

2. Telugu Film Chamber will inform the decision of the exhibitors to the Producer Council and Producer Guild.

3. If the producers do not cooperate with them, it has been decided to close cinema theaters from June 1.
