Monkey Man trailer released.The highly anticipated trailer for the action thriller "Monkey Man" has been unveiled, marking the feature directing debut of the talented Dev Patel. Clocking in at over three minutes, the trailer takes viewers on a gripping journey as Dev Patel's character seeks vengeance against corrupt leaders responsible for the tragic murder of his mother, portrayed by Adithi Kalkunte, and their ongoing exploitation of the impoverished and powerless.

Set against the backdrop of India, the film draws inspiration from the legend of Hanuman. The trailer showcases Dev Patel's character navigating an underground fight club, where he endures beatings from formidable opponents for financial gain. During these intense confrontations, he conceals his identity behind a haunting gorilla mask. The glimpses into his past reveal poignant moments spent with his mother, providing context to the deep-rooted motivation driving his quest for revenge.

Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Sobhita Dhulipala announced her Hollywood debut with "Monkey Man" and shared the trailer, declaring its global theatrical release on April 5. The post received praise from industry stalwarts, with Anurag Kashyap commenting, "Looking super," and Adarsh Gourav expressing immense excitement.

Directed by Dev Patel, who also contributed to the original story and screenplay alongside Paul Angunawela and John Collee, "Monkey Man" is set to captivate audiences worldwide. The film is part of the Monkeypaw production, with a release through Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw in collaboration with Universal. The stellar cast includes Makarand Deshpande, Sikandar Kher, Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Adithi Kalkunte, and Ashwini Kalsekar.

Scheduled for a global release on April 5, "Monkey Man" is produced by a powerhouse team led by Dev Patel, Jomon Thomas, Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, Ian Cooper, Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Christine Haebler, and Anjay Nagpal. The executive producers, including Jonathan Fuhrman, Natalya Pavchinskya, Aaron L. Gilbert, Andria Spring, Alison-Jane Roney, and Steven Thibault, add their expertise to this compelling cinematic venture.

Originally slated for Netflix in 2021, "Monkey Man" caught the attention of Jordan Peele, who recognized its cinematic brilliance and opted for a big-screen release. The film, a Bron Studios production, a Thunder Road film, and a Monkeypaw production, is a collaboration with Minor Realm/S’Ya Concept, in association with WME Independent and Creative Wealth Media.
