Devara OTT Rights Acquired by Netflix For A Record Price

Ntr 'Devara', is much anticipated film both among fans and trade.  Devara marks the much-awaited reunion of Jr Ntr and director Koratala Siva after their previous successful collaboration in Janatha Garage. The film holds a special place as it iNtroduces the Telugu audience to the talents of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. 'Devara' is an action-packed intense drama set against the backdrop of the sea.

The latest news is that, Devara's post-theatrical rights bagged by Netflix for a whopping sum. Reports suggest that, the amount paid by Netflix for the digital rights marks the highest-ever deal for an Ntr film to date, bringing very good  returns to the film's makers. The film is scheduled for an OTT release, likely in the second week of May 2024, following its theatrical release on April 5, 2024.

Currently, 50% of the shoot has been successfully wrapped, among them team shot action sequences majorly including the most tough and one of the highlight, underwater action sequence on Ntr. "Devara" is a grand project, made with a budget of 300 crores, and is slated for a Pan-India release. 

In "Devara," Ntr takes on the dual role of a father and son in a period drama that promises to captivate audiences. The film's post-release rights are in high demand, with significant deals in the pipeline, but for now, Netflix has secured the OTT rights for "Devara," setting the stage for an exciting digital release.
