‘Film industry wouldn’t exist without the existence and survival of a Producer. Present age Telugu film industry is going through the roughest of patches and if the same continues, Telugu films may become extinct in recent future. Neither the heroes nor heroines nor artists nor technicians will get the work. There are two reasons for this situation in industry. If first is Piracy, the second is failure of Directors.

Many of the directors in this generation have no idea about film making. They loot the producer pockets working for 100’s of days without any clarity. Why should a capable director need these many numbers of working days and these much of production costs? Ramgopal Varma is the brilliant example who made movies like ‘Sarkar’ in a record one month. He completed the entire shoot of Amitabh Bachchan’s portion in just 11 to 15 days. Does our industry have no more Varma like directors?

I request each and every director to stop eating the call sheets of heroes and money of producers. Try to come out with a trend like Varma. I also request Varma to stay in our Telugu film industry for few more years and set the right standards here before he leaves to Bombay,’ Naga Babu gave an eye opening speech at ‘Mirapakay’ audio release.
