With the film produced by Super Star Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth excitement doubled. With Love OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix. The film directed by Madhan is releasing on 6 Feb 2026. Let us see what With Love offered to movie lovers.
With Love story revolves around a youngster whose life changes when he agrees to go on a blind date arranged by his sister, and the consequences faced by him.
Satya (Abishan Jeevinth), after much persuasion by his sister, goes on a blind date and happens to meet Monisha (Anaswara Rajan). Where does this lead to, how they are connected, what role Anisha (Kavya Anil), Balaji (Sachin Nachiappan) and what are the consequences are form an interesting part of the narration.
Anaswara Rajan came up with natural and realistic performance. Though her dialogue delivery looks odd at times, she made it up for that with her expressive and emotive perforamance on the screen. Abishan Jeevinth slipped into his role effortlessly. He showed his acting talent after showcasing his skills as a director with Tourist Family. But he still needs to hone his skills as at times, he didnot make an impact.
Kavya Anil got limited screenpresence but did justice to her role with her performance while Harish Kumar, Saravanana, Sachin Nachiappan,Theni Murugan made an impression.
With Love story is readied by Madhan. He came up with a simple love story and tried to entertain movie lovers. Though he included natural and realistic elements, the story never takes off to another level giving that thrilling feeling with viewers crave for.
He takes his own sweet time in the first half and the slow pace ends up testing the patience of the people. The film is filled with routine elements and and he tried to overcome them by adding few entertaining scenes and do justice with his screenplay. After the tiresome and tedious first half, the screenplay and narration picks up pace to some extent. The climax appeals to all and the realistic portrayal of the lead pairs love stories dealt cleantly.
But the forced scenes and elements brings in artificiality and similarly he unnecessarily came up with references to Tourist Family. The climax also one feels is dramatised to some extent for commercial values.
The music and songs tuned by Sean Roldan are just ok and the background score adds value to the emotional proceedings. Shreyas Krishna's cinematography gave a natural feel to the story on the screen. The editing of Suresh Kumar is good in the second half but could have been far better in the first half. Dialogues are natural and production values are commendable.
Altogether, With Love turnsout to be feelgood romantic entertainer. The film directed by Madhan offers nothing new but highlights the different phases of love in the life in a realistic and matured manner. For all the sincere effort, the love story never takes off to the crescendo and fails to connect the emotional chords much to the disappointment of the viewers. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for With Love.
