Su From So story revolves around the mysterious happenings in the serene and quaint village in the coastal region of Karnataka. People look at Ravi Anna ((Shaneel Gautham) for anything and everything in the Madyar Village in Someshwara, Karnataka. Satish anna (Deepak Panaje), Chandranna (Prakash K Thuminadu), and several others move along with him. However, the serene atmosphere in the village is changed completely due to Ashoka (JP Thuminad).

What happened to Ashoka and how it is connected to Sulochana and what roles Bhanu (Sandhya Arikare), Yadhu (Mime Ramdas), Swamy (Raj B Shetty) and Bhaava (Pushparaj Bolar) form the interesting part of the narration.

None of the actors are known to the Telugu movie lovers. However, all of them came up with natural and realistic performances to entertain everyone with their hilarious antics. Shaneel Gautam impresses in the role of Ravi Anna which connects the emotional chords.JP Thuminad, Deepak Panaje, Prakash K Thuminadu, Mime Ramdas and others created a laughing riot with their expressions and emotions. Their screenpresence made an impact and the scenes featuring them cameout well.

Sandhya Arekere played an important character and her performance standsout in the film. She took the entertainment to the next level with her expressions and emotions and dialogue delivery. Raj. B Shetty also made his presence felt and it has a surprise element.

Su from So story is penned by JP.Thuminad is a supernatural entertainer. He tried to entertain viewers in the backdrop of horror elements. Everyone knows that it is difficult to sustain the entertainment quotient throughout the film but he managed to do it without the blink of an eyelid and it speaks volumes of his talent.

He added the right blend of emotions, entertaining elements and touched few social elements to impress all. However all these emotions looks similar and offered nothing new.Even the horror elements didnot offer much thrills and these could have been developed in a thrilling manner.  His screenplay is praiseworthy as he left no loopholes that may mar the film's flow. Apart from the entertainment, he also highlighted the problems faced by the women in the village which generally go unnoticed or conveniently ignored by others. He ensured that the narration and dialogues donot assume preachy form. But at times, one gets a feeling that some scenes and roles are exaggerated to the core.

While the first half sails smoothly with humorous scenes, emotions pick up in the second half with the flashback scenes. But this is not overdone in the name of melodrama. While some jokes work, others looked absurd. The music of Sumedh K. is good and are situational. He blended the songs in such a way and the songs are shot in natural locations and placed in a manner that it doesn't impact the flow of the narration in any manner. The background score of Sandeep Tulasidas took the scenes to another level enhancing the feel of the viewers. The background music added value to the emotional and hilarious scenes and also made an impact with the horror scenes.

S.Chandrasekharan's cinematography captured the natural and scenic locations in a visually appealing manner and gave a rich feel on the big screen.  He beautified the film showing the coastal region in a captivating manner.The editing of Nithin Shetty is decent and kept the story narration intact ensuring that there are not much deviations. He could have trimmed many scenes especially in the first half, which dragged the film's narration. Production values are good.

Altogether, Su from So is a decent horror comedy entertainer. JP Thuminad came up with an interesting story set in the coastal backdrop and he got the optimum from the cast and crew. He ensured that he entertains viewers with decent comedy and horror scenes instead of playing to the gallery with cheap comedy and outdated horror scenes. The screenplay is racy, and he ensured that viewers are entertained to the core and at the same time touched upon the relevant issues. Had he done away with the predictable elements, connected chords with the emotions adding depth to  the story things would have been different. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 to Su from So.
