Suhas, known for his unique entertainers and different roles, is coming to entertain viewers with his upcoming film, Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama. The film directed by Ram Godhala is releasing on 11 July 2025. The film's OTT rights are yet to be inked, and let us find out what impact Suhas created on movie lovers with Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama.
Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama story revolves around a young guy who changes his dreams for a beautiful girl and how he deals with the developments that occur in the aftermath of his decision. Ram (Suhas), who has been pursuing his MBA and leading a happy life with his friends and uncle (Ali), changes his decision to fly abroad and settle there with the entry of the beautiful girl, Bhama aka Satyabhama (Malavika Manoj).
Where this leads to and how it is connected to his past and future, and what role Bhama's father Surya (Prithviraj), Ram's parents, father Gowtham (Ravinder Vijay), and Meenakshi (Anitha Hassanandani ) played form the interesting part.
Suhas is known to do different genre roles. He puts in hard work and effort, and one can see his dedication. He emoted and expressed well and delivered dialogues to make an impact within his limits. He even showed his dancing talent on the screen. He played the role of the innocent youngster quite aptly. However, at times, he could have gotten his expressions in an even more powerful manner. His role could have been created in a more impactful way.
Malavika Manoj looked cute on the screen. She looked bubbly and beautiful in the songs. However, her character is written most ridiculously, and it ended up testing the patience of the viewers. Anitha Hassanandani, in the role of mother, played well. She emoted quite well, and she elevated the scenes with her expressions and dialogue.
Ravinder Vijay is ok in the role of the hero's father, which is tailor-made for him. Prithviraj also played the role of the heroine's father according to his role. Ali got a good role as the hero's uncle, and he performed well, showing good emotions and expressions. However, most of the scenes featuring him showed him drinking along with the hero's friends, diluting the importance of his role.
Others like Annapurna, Prabhas Sreenu, Raghu Karumanchi, Moin, Sathvik Anand, Nayani Pavani, etc performed according to their roles.
Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama story is penned by Ram Godhala. He tried to connect chords with the viewers, highlighting the mother-son sentiment. He starts the narration in a predictable but interesting way. But from then on, everything turns silly and outdated. He tried to draw inspiration from various hit films without coming up with his own story that has strong emotions, and powerful script and story.
This impacted the film heavily. The entire romantic angle involving the hero and heroine looked ridiculous and outdated to the core. Even the friend’s track with Ali's ended up testing the patience of the viewers. After the testing first half, viewers expected a better second half. But things turned worse as they fell in the pan, and with the director lacking originality and creativity in the story tried to make up for it by including forced scenes in the name of comedy.
Unable to bear the torture, viewers are made to look towards the exit gate with no respite. Finally, after a lot of repetitive scenes and torturous emotional and outdated dialogues, when the film ended, they breathed a sigh of relief. Director Ram Godhala should be solely responsible for coming up with a project that lacked the basic story, let alone the script, screenplay, and direction. Wonder how Suhas gave the green signal to the project. All his fans will surely say ' Ayyo Suhas'.
Manikandan's cinematography is good. He turned the scenes colourful using camera angles quite well this added value to the narration. Radhan's background music is just ok. A couple of songs are tuned and shot appealingly.
Bhavin Shah's editing left a lot to be desired. Many unnecessary scenes could have been cut, but he couldn't be faulted, as the film lacked a strong story. This, in turn, ended up giving immense torture to the viewers. Dialogues are below average. Production values are ok.
Altogether, Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama turns out to be the most senseless and soulless flick. Director Ram Godhala, with the help of Suhas and Malavika Manoj and others, tried to elevate the human emotions, the Mother-Son relationship, and the Hero-Heroine emotions, and connect chords with the viewers. But the lack of story, forced scenes, and clueless direction turned everything into a non-starter. No amount of changes would have worked for the film. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama.
