Nenu Student Sir! - What's Behind

Bellamkonda Suresh's son Bellamkonda Ganesh impressed with his debut performance in Swathi Muthyam. His second film Nenu Student Sir! directed by Rakhi Uppalapati is releasing today. Yesteryear dream girl Bhagyasri's daughter Avantika Dassani is making her silver screen debut with this Telugu film. The film's OTT rights are yet to be finalized. Let us see how Nenu Student Sir! entertained viewers.

Nenu Student Sir! - Story Review

Nenu Student Sir! story is all about a youngster's obsession with an iPhone and the developments aftermath once he possesses it. Subbu aka Subbarao (Bellamkonda Ganesh), a college student is fascinated with the iPhone and dreams of having one of his own. He saves money and finally purchases iPhone 12 and treats it preciously as his own friend, giving it also the name Buchchi Babu.

However, he will be in for a shock as he loses possession of his mobile. To find out how he loses possession of his new iPhone, what are its consequences, and how Police Commissioner Vasudevan (Samuthirakhani), and his daughter Shruti (Avantika Dassani) are connected to it form the rest of the story.

Nenu Student Sir! - Artists Review

Bellamkonda Ganesh who impressed with his performance in his debut film Swathi Muthyam, once again showed his acting talent. Ganesh looked Natural and realistic in the role of the student. He did well as a meek and timid person in the first half and surprises all with his transformation as a youngster who goes to any extent in the second half when faced with difficulties. 

Avantika Dassani, daughter of yesteryear dream girl Bhagyasri of Maine Pyar Kiya fame is good in her looks. She did not get much scope to perform and one gets a feeling that she should work on her expressions.

Samuthirakhani is ok while Sunil did well in his role generating interest. Samuthirakani is seen in a different role this time and this increases curiosity. Srikanth Iyyengar got very less screen presence and a forgettable role while Ram Prasad suprised in a negative role. Charandeep got a different role. Others performed accordingly.

Nenu Student Sir! - Technicians Review

Nenu Student Sir! story by Rakhi Uppalapati has an interesting concept. He tried to weave a love story against the backdrop of iPhone fraud. The concept of fraud involving phones excites all but he passes time to touch the main point showing unnecessary and illogical scenes on the screen to the viewers testing their patience. The narration doesn't go anywhere till the interval and only at the interval, the director decides to enter into the story.

The scenes in the first half, be it the romantic track or the hero's attempts to get a new iPhone and recover his lost one, looks silly to the core. While the hero's character is illogical, the heroine's character is even more worse. The emotional and comedy scenes look like vice versa. Though the second half is a little better, even its pace also is very slow and it gains speed with the entry of Sunil. Except for the core point, everything turns illogical in Nenu Student Sir.

The music of Mahati Swara Sagar did not appeal to viewers. None of the songs are attractive. His background score is fine but could have elevated few important scenes. Chota K Prasad's editing is a big letdown. He let many unnecessary scenes pass the editing test. The cinematography of Anith Madhadi is beautiful but could have been more colorful. Dialogues are pretty ordinary and especially Bellamkonda Ganesh always repeating iPhone-related dialogues irritates everyone. The production values of SV2 Entertainment could have been better.

Nenu Student Sir! - Rating Analysis

Altogether, Nenu Student Sir interest is killed by illogicality. Rakhi Uppalapati's concept of mobile phone fraud connects chords with everyone but he failed to encash on it.  Bellamkonda Ganesh did full justice to his role, be it his dialogue delivery, body language, expressions and emotions.

However, Rakki Uppalapati's inexperience got exposed as he failed to come up with a strong story. Had he worked on the script and screenplay, he would have made it more interesting. He also did not get the best out of the technical crew which plunged the film reducing its quality. Depending on cinematic liberties leaving logic for a toss, turned the Student into a laughing stock. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.5 Rating for Nenu Student Sir!
