Mothevari Love Story directed by Shiva Krishna Burra is streaming on Zee Telugu from 8 Aug 2025. Let us see how the webseries entertained viewers.
Mothevari Love Story revolves around two younsters from Telangana and their romantic journey and the twists involved in it. Prashi (Anil Geela) gets fascinated with the beauty of Anitha (Varshini Reddy Junnuthula). Even as their love story blossoms, the startling developments in their village Ayyarupalli changes everything. What are those developments and how they are connected to Mothevari Bongula Parasuramulu (Malla Reddy), his sons Sathhayya (Muralidhar) who is also father of Anitha and Narsingh Yadav (Sadhanna), Parshi's grandmother Anumavva (Vijayalakshmi) and others form the rest of the developments.
All the actors did justice to their roles. Anil Geela earlier made an impression with his performance in My Village Show episodes and he did such roles earlier. So this role is tailormade for him. His body langauge and comedy timing is realistic. He entertained with his antics and elevated the scenes with his screen presence.
Varshini Reddy's character is created in a funny and entertaining manner. She impressed with her dialogue delivery and expressions. Her innocence in her looks added realistic feel to the proceedings. Muralidhara Goud and Sadanna played the roles that are cakewalk for them and they made full justice. Vijayalakshmi performed well in the role of the grandmother. Others performed according to their roles.
Mothevari Love Story is penned by Sivakrishna. He drew inspiration from Balagam and tried to entertain viewers with similar kind of setup and generate fun revolving around money and relationships of people. The webseries comes with 7 episodes and for all the good intentions, director failed to do justice to the story. The narration starts in a slow and steady manner with pace picking up with the each episode.
After the six episodes, he just rushed up the proceedings in the seventh episode and ended it in a rushed manner. So while he did justice to entertain viewers with the hilarious scenes he failed to make similar impact when it comes to emotional scenes.
The music of Charan Arjun is good. He came up with situational songs with folkbeats capturing the mood of the rural backdrop. At times however the soundtrack looked out of sync. Srikanth Appula's cinematography highlights the rural and rustic village atmosphere giving a realistic feel to the proceedings. Editing is ok. Dialogues are entertaining and natural. Production values are good.
Altogether, Mothevari Love Story turns out to be entertaining love story. Director Sivakrishna came up with interesting story and got the optimum out of the cast. However he fumbled when it comes to sending an good message in an effective and impactful manner. At times however, storytelling drifted going awry and the deviations didnot help the cause. Few silly elements could have been done away with. The entertaining elements cameout well and had he taken due care of the emotional elements in the similar way, Mothevari Love Story would have made a powerful impact. Considering all these points, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for Mothevari Love Story.
