MissTerious (2025) Movie: Story Review

MissTerious story revolves around a missing police officer and the subsequent developments and the twists and turns around it. 

Following the missing of SI Ramki (Abid Bhushan), ACP Anand Sai (Balraj Wadi) takes over the investigation. Where this leads to and what role  renowned architect Virat (Rohit Sahni), his wife Shilpa (Meghna Rajput), played and how it is connected to Missira (Riya Kapoor), her father Harnatha Rao (Srinivas Bhogireddy), CI Ranganath (Akunoor Gautham), SI Nikitha (Lucky Sree), Linga (Jabardasth Rajamouli), from the thrilling developments.

Balraj Wadi as ACP Anand Sai made his presence felt. He delivered dialogues in a powerful manner and his body language is good on the screen. Abid Bhushan as SI Ramki is good. He came up with intense performance. Rohit Sahni looked cool on the screen and he came up with subtle performance and delivered dialogues in a calm and composed manner.

Meghna Rajput played the female lead role in an impactful manner. She showed variations in her expressions and emotions and her body language added value to the proceedings. She oozed with glamor in the songs. She delivered dialogues according to the situation.

Riya Kapoor got an important and short role and she is good on screen. Lucky Sree is good as SI Nikitha and she had good screen presence.  Jabardasth Rajamouli along with Akunoor Gautham performed well and Srinivas Bogireddy and others performed according to their roles.

MissTerious (2025) Movie: Technicians Review

MissTerious story is written by Mahi Komatireddy. He planned to thrill viewers with the investigative thriller. He starts the narration in the right earnest and the proceedings featuring the investigative scenes increase the curiosity levels. Though the pace dips at times, the screenplay is racy enough to take care of the proceedings. But out of no where, the first half ends much to the surprise of all. This robbed the viewers of the smooth sailing of the narration in the first half. 

However, the investigation and few thrills, increased the expectations over the second half. The second half continues in the same vein but unnecessary scenes, slow pace in the narration and repetitive elements, brought down the intensity levels. Even one song, impacted the film's proceedings. 

While many are engulfed in the investigation scenes, out of nowhere, director inorder to give more thrills, drifted from the realistic take and included supernatural or paranormal elements. These scenes looked silly and the final investigation falls flat, much to the disappointment of all. The way cops close the case with silly reasons looks preposterous to the core. 

Paravasthu Devendra Suri with his Cinematography beautified the film. He captured the scenic locations in a natural and appealing manner adding value to the narration. 

The music of ML. Raja is melodious. The songs are shot in a beautiful manner on the backdrop of exotic locations and are situational. However, at times, the songs placement slowed the pace of the narration.

The background music tuned by ML. Raja is in sync with the storyline. The background score elevated the scenes, generating interest among movie lovers. 

Editing is ok but could have been better especially in the latter part of the second half. Dialogues are ok and production values are decent.

MissTerious (2025) Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, MissTerious turns out to be an interesting thriller. Director Mahi Komati Reddy came up with an interesting story and got decent performances from the cast and crew. He showed the investigative scenes in an impressive manner and the first half is quite riveting though at times the pace was slow. When many expected the second half to take viewers to the next level, though the narration travels in the smilar way, the runup to the pre climax and climax doesn't look convincing. The supernatural elements didnot blend well with the investigative elements. Little finetuning of the script and investigative scenes, would have added more fire power to the final result. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 star rating for MissTerious.
