Behind the Movie “Maa Naanna Chiranjeevi”: Director Arun Prasad is known for his super hit movies like Thammudu and Goutham SSC. Jagapathi Babu is fresh with success of “Pravarakhyudu” and as usual a crowd puller among family audience. Both of them joined their hands for an entertainer differently titled “Maa Naanna Chiranjeevi.” To share the screen with Jagapathi Babu are Master Athulith and heroine Neelima the debutant.

In the Movie “Maa Naanna Chiranjeevi”:
Chiranjeevulu (Jagapathi Babu) is a prosperous guy with good nature but low in education in the village of Rajolu. Chiranjeevulu is married to a well educated but non compromising Sandhya (Neelima). Overtly greedy Sandhya makes Chiranjeevulu to invest huge amounts in Stock Market and Software Company of one of her friend, which goes into losses and they are remained with just a loving kid Vishwanath (Athulith). Neelima unable to bear the social brunt of living with an average earning Chiranjeevulu decides to join a job for which she needs to go on for a training of 6 months. Vishwanath, a daddy koochi can’t stay with Neelima and the same was the situation of Chiranjeevulu. Chiranjeevulu and Vishwanath leave the house and come to Hyderabad for education of Vishwanath with just 10,000 bucks. Here starts the movie, where Chiranjeevulu was cheated by Rohith (Jayaparakash Reddy) and left with no money, where as he needs 30,000 bucks to join Vishwanath in the school. Chiranjeevulu with his good nature and hard working attitude gets ready to do daily labor, car driver, painter, welder, mason…what not he even sells  4 liters of his blood for the sake of his kid. At last, he finds a job of fireman and joins his son in International School. Now, Neelima too realize her mistake and comes back to complete the movie.

Values of the Movie “Maa Naanna Chiranjeevi”:
Jagapathi Babu as Chiranjeevulu has given laudable performance, where in many times my eyes started to water for this innocent father’s struggle for the sake of his smart kid. Trust me, he will take you through a heartwarming journey and many fathers may recognize themselves with Chiranjeevulu. It is a known point that, kids find a great hero in their fathers. Master Athulith has given a good support to the role of Jagapathi Babu thus making the emotions to come out better on the screen. Especially during the Railway station toilet, Gokul theatre scenes where both this father and son hide for nights reached emotional peaks. Neelima doesn’t have anything to perform except first 15 minutes of the movie. Neither was there a duet nor were there any heavily loaded romantic scenes. MS Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy, Brahmanadam, Ali were just okay. Story, Script and Direction by Arun Prasad are good. With just a movie span of 1 hour 50 minutes, neither story nor script and direction have any time to waste. With in first 20 minutes, major part of the story is done and the real story of love sharing between dad and son starts. Music for songs by Hemachandra was not at all good, while background during the emotional scenes ripe. Photography by Bharani has nothing extraordinary to prove as movie was shot with minimum budget. Baswa Paidi Reddy’s editing was like a jet with nothing to spare. Production values of Laughing Lords Entertainments are good.

Out of the Movie “Maa Naanna Chiranjeevi”:
After hilarious comedy mixed with good content, movies like Thammudu and Goutham SSC from Arun Prasad…this also can be treated as a good product. His main focus of elevating the emotional perfect ness in Jagapathi Babu has come to the fore. Arun Prasad’s fun play with the words is again visible in this movie. Irrespective of all these and keeping logic a side, what makes you struck is the bonding that father’s of these days share with their kids. Arun Prasad stresses correctly revealing a fact that, kids of this generation are more attached to fathers than mothers…yes daddy koochi’s. Few may get a feeling that movie is splashed with stubborn emotions but few may get struck with the right chord.
