Kingdom(2025) Movie: What's Behind

Vijay Devarakonda has scored sensational hits like Pelli Choopulu, Geetha Govindam, and Arjun Reddy, but later lost his steam and tasted disasters like Liger. He is now teaming with director Gowtam Tinnanuri, who captured the imagination of all with Jersey, which went on to win National Awards. The film Kingdom is a duology, and the first part is releasing on 31st July 2025. Kingdom OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix. Let us see what impact Vijay Devarakonda created with Kingdom at the box office.

Kingdom(2025) Movie: Story Review

Kingdom story revolves around an undercover cop and the shocking incidents he experiences in his mission. Police Constable Suri (Vijay Devarakonda) gets a surprise when he is assigned the most difficult and important mission. Where this leads to, what are the consequences, and what roles Siva (Satyadev), Murugan (Venkitesh), and others played form the crux of the mission.

Kingdom(2025) Movie: Artists Review

Vijay Devarakonda is known for his natural talent and versatility. He slipped into the role effortlessly. He showed good expressions and emotions according to the situation and the scenes, and made an impact. He delivered dialogues naturally and effortlessly. His mannerisms are realistic. He came up with a seamless performance which helped the film's narration to go in a smooth way.

Bhagyashri Borse got a completely different role, unlike her glamour roles earlier. However, her screen presence is limited, and she did what was required of her. Satyadev, meanwhile, performed well as usual, showing his talent and bringing his experience to the fore. The scenes featuring Vijay Devarakonda and Satyadev impress all.

Venkitesh performed well on the screen. However, his character is underdeveloped. Had it been more powerful, the impact would have been much better. Others like Ronit Kamra, Kothala Bhanu Prakash, Ayyappa P. Sharma,Goparaju Ramana,Manish Chaudhari,Baburaj performed according to their roles.

Kingdom(2025) Movie: Technicians Review

Kingdom Story is penned by Gowtam Tinnanuri, and this has increased expectations among movie lovers. He tried to elevate the bonding between brothers in a completely different and novel backdrop. This generates interest among viewers. He starts the narration in an interesting way with the pre-Independence Era under British rule.

When viewers feel that they are in for a thrilling and completely different experience, their patience gets tested with routine, monotonous, and uninteresting scenes. The first half comes to an end with an intense action block. Except the slow pace in narration the first half is ok but not up to the mark.

The second half, however, starts on a better note with more interesting elements and the unfolding of the drama. A couple of twists excite all, and the screenplay turns a little bit racy. But the missing action elements disappoint everyone. The second half ends with a lead to the second part but nothing exciting. The lack of a strong villain impacted the overall output. Gowtam Tinnanuri, known to elevate emotions connecting the chords of all, however, this time failed to do so. Though he tried to showcase the brothers' bonding, etc, everything turned convenient and artificial and superficial.

Anirudh Ravichander turned out to be different with his background music, and it instantly made an impact, taking viewers into the story. But the film lacked the action sequences to complement its background music. Jomon T John & Girish Gangadharan, with their cinematography, brought in all the experience to show the scenes in a natural and realistic manner. It gave an authentic feel to the viewers on the big screen.

The editing of Naveen Nooli is just average. It could have been crispier in the first half, where there are many drags. Dialogues are just ok. Production values are good.

Kingdom(2025) Movie: Advantages

  • Vijay Devarakonda
  • BGM
  • Cinematography

Kingdom(2025) Movie: Disadvantages

  • Missing Emotions
  • Weak Writing
  • Insipid Narration

Kingdom(2025) Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Kingdom turns out to be a predictable flick on brotherhood. Gowtam Tinnanuri came up with a good idea and got the optimum performances from Vijay Devarakonda and Satyadev. However, the weak execution, missing emotions, dragging narration, screenplay, and routine elements played the spoilsport. Lack of freshness in the story, except for the backdrop and the convenient scenes, turned the film into an ordinary one. The missing soul in the story killed the attempts of the makers. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for Kingdom.
