Behind the Movie Jump Jilani: Comedy hero Allari Naresh is in need of a strong hit after ‘Sudigadu.’ He teamed with Satti Babu for a dual role character having Isha Chawla and Swathi Deekshit as heroines. Let us see, how far we will jump in seats for their comedy?

In the Movie Jump Jilani: Story begins with introduction to ‘Hello Brother’ twins Satti Babu (Allari Naresh), a sincere and straight forward going person owning the ancestral property of Sathya Narayana Vilas Hotel in Nidadavole while young brother Ram Babu (Allari Naresh) is a gambler spends time only for enjoyment. Satti Babu is in deep trouble to save the hotel from Health Officer Madhavi (Isha Chawla) while Ram Babu is already in love with Maradalu Ganga (Swathi Deekshit). Of course, Madhavi falls for sincerity of Satti Babu and there are two hot couples romancing on screen.

Story takes a twist when Madhavi’s marriage is fixed with factionist Ugra Narasimha Reddy (Posani) in Pulivendula and at the same time a diamond seller (Rao Ramesh)’s mobile phone embedded with 10 Crores worth diamonds come into the hands of Satti Babu who already left to Pulivendula to elope with Madhavi. What happened later on in Pulivendula is the rest of our tragedy.

Values & Out of the Movie Jump Jilani: Never in the complete run of two and half hours, this film does justice to the comic title. Satti Babu completely missed his comedy timing with a puerile script and a dummy story. Direction goes bizarre with no logics and common sense. For a comedy movie to entertain; dialogues play a key part and OMG, writing department is so atrocious here in Jilani. Much of the lines written are used multi handed in previous films. Same do applies for music which has no soul. Cinematography is a bit better because dual roles of Allari Naresh are technically well executed. Editor Goutham Raju fell in deep slumber without cutting the unnecessary episodes in first half which was so tedious to make audience go drowsy. Production values are also average.

On performance front, Allari Naresh hasn’t shown anything promising here. There was no necessity for director to make Naresh play dual roles because the character of Ram Babu did nothing great except rolling and romancing hot with Swathi Deekshith for no valid reason. Isha Chawla is sumptuous and Swathi Deekshith is oozing in loads of oomph. More than these three, major reason why patrons laugh for while in second half is Posani’s Ugra Narasimha Reddy role. His impeccable timing and some double meaning jokes spilled the humor. Rao Ramesh and MS Narayana are wasted, Kota is respected, Raghu Babu, JP and Thagubothu Ramesh are routine, Dhanraj has no importance, Bharath is just okay while Hema, Sana etc are for name sake.

Jump Jilani is one of the wrong selected projects from Naresh. Although there is something in story to create chaos and take liberty in generating fun, director has fallen flat on nose. A big lot of star cast is wasted without a purpose. Especially, climax was so imperfectly dealt without living any impact. How many times do we need to bear this nuisance of second half of Telugu movie shifting to Seema backdrop? Apparently, this is a remake of Tamil film which shows Big Zero creativity of our directors. Entire first half moves at snail pace with hopeless and needless scenes before giving the interval block. To be a bit liberal, second half takes a decent take off with entry of Posani. However, it becomes stale in no time making the things worsen with excessive length of run time.

In totality, Jump Jilani is a boring film with no worthwhile comedy. This is one of the big disappointments from Naresh in recent times. Jump on to any other movie for this weekend without giving this a try.
