Jatadhara (2025) Movie: What's Behind

Sudheer Babu who is known for his penchant for doing different genre entertainers, made his entry into Bollywood as an antagonist in Tiger Shroff's Baaghi. He is now testing his luck in the lead role in Jatadhara which is releasing in various languages on 7 November 2025. The film marks Sonakshi Sinha's entry into Tollywood. Let us see whether Jatadhara thrilled viewers or not.

Jatadhara story revolves around a ghost hunter and the happenings in his life when he goes all out to prove that ghosts doesn't exist. 

Shiva (Sudheer Babu), a ghost hunter is on a mission to prove that fear is more scarier than ghosts. But his life takes a startling turn and where this leads to and how it is connected to his parents (Jhansi, Rajeev Kanakala), archaeologist Sitara (Divya Khosla), International Paranormal Researcher foundation head Mani Sharma (Srinivas Avarsala), Swamiji Neelakanta Sastri (Subhalekha Sudhakar), Shobha (Shilpa Shirodkar), Devi (Indira Krishna) and her husband Vasu (Ravi Prakash), and who is Dhana Pisachi (Sonakshi Sinha), what is Pisacha bandhanam form the rest of the twists and turns.

Sudheer Babu worked hard for his role and put in lot of effort. However he comes up with similar expressions and emotions and is in his elements. 

The role is tailor made for him and he delivered dialogues accordingly. However in the second half he goes missing for most of the time. In the climax he is fine. 

Sonakshi Sinha on her debut in Telugu played a completely different role. She takes everyone by surprise with her role. Most of her role is loaded with CGI and VFX elements. She is ok with her performance but the role offered nothing special.

Divya Khosla looked good in her role on screen and  came up with a composed performance. Shilpa Shirodkar did justice to her role with her performance. She made a powerful presence in her role. 

Indira Krishna performed in a matured manner. Others like Avasarala Srinivas, Rajeev Kanakala, Jhansi, and Subhalekha Sudhakar performed well doing justice to their roles.

Jatadhara (2025) Movie: Technicians Review

Jatadhara story is penned and directed by Venkat Kalyan & Abhishek Jaiswal. They tried to thrill viewers but after a predictable start and from then on continues in the same way with special song and so called comedy forcibly included before ending the first half with out much interesting happening. 

The second half nose dives after an interesting flashback. With Sudheer Babu missing for most of the second half viewers will be wondering about the happenings. The pre climax and climax gives outdated and terrible experience to the viewers as the actors pass through the motions and directors losing the plot completely and coming up with silly scenes making viewers run towards the exit. 

Sai Krishna Karne and Shyam Babu Meriga came up typical and spiritual dialogues. Venkat Kalyan's writing failed completely as everything turned silly. 

Sameer Kalyani's Cinematography offered nothing new. He came up with outdated visuals and VFX effects are poor. 

Rajiv Raj's music and background music turned out to be below average. He failed to add value to the final output. Editing could have been better as there are many scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. Everything looked amateurish and wonder how the makers entrusted the responsibility to him. Production values are terrible.

Jatadhara (2025) Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Jatadhara turns out to be a below average horror story. Jatadhara offered nothing new to Sudheer Babu and in fact turned out to be good worst choice till now in his career. Directors duo came with an outdated and amateurish story and screenplay and direction turned out to be ridiculous. The script failed to do any justice. Sudheer Babu should have rejected the story during the narration time itself. Considering all these points, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Jatadhara.
