Latest sensational news from Andhra Pradesh High Court is that B. Ramalinga Raju, the prime accused in the multi crore Satyam fraud case has been granted conditional bail on the grounds of ill health.

Justice Raja Elango who earlier reserved the order after hearing the arguments from Raju’s counsel and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has passed the order few minutes ago, granting the bail. Although CBI filed a counter petition arguing that if granted bail, the accused could destroy evidence, especially with regard to the money diverted and sent abroad and Raju's ailment could not be the proper ground for granting the bail but High Court was more worried about the ill health of Ramalinga Raju who has been arrested two years ago and undergoing treatment for various ailments form last six months in NIMS.

This conditional bail granted would make Raju to surrender his Passport, furnish a personal bond of Rs. 20 Lakhs with surety, attend Police Station every day for signature and shall co-operate with the CBI team whenever called upon.

Finally with Ramalinga Raju getting the bail, the economic terrorism of Rs. 24,000 crores in the name of Satyam has come to a dead end because none of the accused in this case are now with CBI, all of them were granted bails and everyone is wandering happily in the society.

That is why we call…’This is India, anything is possible here.’
