After undergoing treatment for chest pain, fever, Hepatitis C and lung infection, the Satyam scam prime accused, Ramalinga Raju is now complaining of nosebleed and depletion in platelet count.

Raju was first admitted to Nims on September 7, 2009, after he complained of chest pain and since then his stay in the hospital had been extended at least 10 times on ‘medical grounds’ of various kinds. CBI is worried of the several excuses and delay in the investigation, trial and a continuing medical process altering the accused.

NIMS Gastroenterologist, Dr. Abhijit Kumar said Satyam Raju bleeded from the nose 15 days ago for the first time and then two times last week. ‘He was given injections for Hepatitis C treatment and he was showing several side affects including bleeding. Raju’s blood platelet count had come down drastically and likely to have serious infections if allowed to come out. We have to give him 45 injections and have already given eight,’ said the doctor.
