The accused sought the Court's permission to file Special Vakalatnama under Section 205 of Cr.PC (dispensing with personal attendance of the accused). The court ordered all the accused to appear before the court on March 31.

The SFIO, which filed seven complaints against 11 directors in the multi-crore Satyam accounting fraud case at the Special Court for Economic Offences in December last year, has been investigating the role of the accused in the scam.

Meanwhile, the doctors of Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences treating Ramalinga  Raju, submitted to the Special Court in Nampalli that  it  was not possible to produce Ramalinga Raju  before the court at least four weeks from now on (that is not before April 27). According to the report, Raju is suffering from hepatitis and if he is exposed, the disease will get aggravated.
