The Class X examinations began on a subdued note on Monday with 13.6 lakh high school students taking their examination across the state. The examinations will continue till April 8.
With the introduction of bar-coding system on the answer scripts of all the subjects, the students were told to reach their respective centres 45 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination so as to get a briefing on the bar-codes.
The bar-coding officers and invigilators will be available for the students at their respective centres to clear their doubts on bar-coding.
Special squads are conducting flying visits to book students who resort to malpractices during the examinations. About 300 flying squads are on the job to book the errant students.
Of the 13,63 lakh students taking the exams this year, 10.76 lakh are regular students while the remaining 2.87 lakh are private candidates.
