Hyderabad, Jan 21: Special trains are being introduced by the South Central Railway for the pilgrims visiting holy places in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. The SCR will run special trains from Kakinada to Melmaruvathur on Jan 24 and from Nanded to Pandharapur in February-March.According to a SCR press release, a special train (No. 0711) with 16 bogies will leave Kakinada Town at 11 a.m. on Jan 24 and reach Melmaruvathur at 6.45 a.m. the following day.In the return journey, the special train (No. 0712) will leave Melmaruvathur at 8 p.m. on Jan 26 and reach Kakinada Town at 5.30 p.m. on Jan 27.

En route, these special trains will have halts at Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Bhimavaram Town, Akivedu, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Chennai Egmore and Chengalpattu in both the directions.These trains will have 10 Sleeper Class coaches, four general bogies, and two second class luggage cum brake van coaches totaling to 16.In order to clear the extra rush of passengers attending Ekadasi celebrations at Pandharpur, South Central Railway will run eight special trains between Nanded and Pandharpur from February 8 to March 26.

The 15-coach Nanded - Pandharpur Special train (0737) will depart Nanded at 9.30 p.m. on Febraury 8, 24 and March 10 and 25, and reach Pandharpur at 8 a.m. on the following day.In the return direction, Train No 0738 Pandharpur-Nanded Special Train (0738) will leave Pandharpur at 9.15 p.m. on February 9, 25 and March 11 and 26 and reach Nanded at 9 a.m  on the following day.
