Vizag ODI to be held as scheduled

Hyderabad, Dec 12: The Andhra Cricket Association on Saturday clarified that the second one-day international cricket match between India and Sri Lanka, will be held at visakhapatnam as scheduled and ticket sales would resume on Monday.The clarification by the ACA was necessitated following rumours of the match being cancelled as a fallout of the Telangana crisis.

ACA president Gangaraju has reportedly said there was no question of the match being cancelled, since all arrangements were already in place for the smooth conduct of the event. Mr Gangaraju said that the ACA had spoken to all the various political and non-political organisations which are organising protests against the bifurcation of the state and all those organisations spoken to had assured that the match will not be disturbed.Earlier, rumours abounded that the second ODI would be cancelled and the sale of tickets, scheduled for Monday, would be halted.
