Khammam,Nov 24: The workers of Singareni Collieries Company have planned to take out a protest rally at Janthar Manthar in New Delhi on Wednesday against the Union Government decision to sell 10 percent of public sector company shares to the private sector.The workers of coal mines in the country will take part in the rally. Expressing grave concern over the decision,leader of Joint Action Committee of Coal Mine Unions, Mr Latti Jaganmohan said the Centre has no right to sell the shares of profit-making companies.

“About 156 industries of the Union Government have been making profits and they have been generating an income of Rs. 1.25 lakh crore to the Government,” he stated.Nearly 15 lakh permanent workers have been working for public sector companies and if the Government sold 10 percent of the shares of the profit-making companies,many workers would be deprived of their job security.“The workers of Singareni will participate in the agitation in Delhi” Singareni Coal Mines Karmika Sangh president Chithala Surya Narayana announced.
