Salem's fake passport case posted to Nov 20

Hyderabad, Nov 13: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday adjourned the hearing in a fake passport case related to mafia don Abu Salem,also a key accused in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, to Nov 20.The court posted the case to another date as the police failed to produce him in the court due to technical problems.

The court officials have already recorded the statements of Kurnool Mandal Revenue Officer Shankar Rao under whose revenue jurisdiction Abu managed to produce fake nativity certificate. Abu Salem had also obtained fake passport using the forged documents in the early 1990s.The court will also record the statements of four eyewitnesses in the case on Nov 20.
