Vijayawada,Nov6:Police made some more progress in the murder senior Congress leader Ginjupalli Veeraiah.Veeraiah was done death brutally in the broad daylight in Sivalayam temple at Navabpet near Nandigama on October 18.District Superintendent of Police Ramakrishnaiah told newsmen on Friday that it was a revenge murder. It may be recalled that academician and senior Telugu Desam leader A Butchaiah Choudary was found dead on a roadside while he was on a morning walk on September15.His relatives suspected that it was the handiwork of Veeriah and his son who dashed Butchaiah Cowdary with their vehicle and fled.

To avenge his death his daughter Kakarla Santhi and her husband Ramkrishna planned to kill Veeriah, the SP said adding that they approached Chinta Venkateswara Rao, Chinta Nageswara Rao and Atluri Veeraiah who sketched the murder.The couple also allocated Rs one crore for the murder after selling their land.The SP said it was agreed to give Rs 3 lakh each for the murderers and the remaining amount to spend on court expenses to bail out the killers.The said that the killers urged the couple to give Rs five lakh to buy a vehicle to flee.

They were told to collect money from Jaggaiapet former municipal chairman Sriram Badarinarayana and Telugu Desam leader Mallela Gandhi.When the duo rejected the money the accused approached the couple again. They arranged Rs four lakh with which the main accused purchased a second hand Quallis car from the Car World Swift at Mughalrajpuram in the city.All the accused were produced before Jaggaipet court, the SP said adding that an Ambassador car has been identified in Butchiah Chouday case and the investigation is in progress.
