MP’s son killed in Bastar

Bastar, (Chhattisgarh) Sept 26 :

The son of a Bhratiya Janata Party (BJP) Mp Balram Kashyap was killed when suspected naxalites opened fire on two brothers in Bastar district in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.

The naxalites opened fire on BJP Mp’s sons—Tansen and Dinesh Kashyap, who came to their ancestral Pairaguda village for Durga pooja celebrations, and killed one of them. They were attacked by four cycle-borne assailants.

According to Inspector General of Police, R K Vij, the suspected naxalites shot both Tansen and Dinesh Kashyap on Saturday morning at Pairaguda village. The seriously injured brothers were admitted to Maharani Hospital in Jagadalpur, where Tansen succumbed to his injuries. Dinesh condition is stated to be out of danger, according to hospital sources. Following this incident, the police have intensified combing operations in the forest and agency areas and tightened security at vulnerable points.
