Madhuri Sale, Telugu IITian commits suicide

Madhuri Sale, a final year Civil engineering student of the premiere Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, committed suicide in her hostel room on Wednesday. Just two days ago Madhuri Sale, hailing from Andhra Pradesh celebrated her 22nd birthday.

Kanpur Police suspect the case as a suicide as per prima-facie evidences. Suicide came to light only when Madhuri’s room door was broken as she did not respond to repeated door knocks by her friends. Police found that name of student was ‘Madhuri Salve’ as per early reports but in the college she is enrolled as ‘Madhuri Sale.’

Sources in IIT-K said that a committee has been constituted to probe into the girl’s death while students say that this is eighth suicide in the college from last six years. Madhuri is an extra ordinary performer in academics.
