Senior Congress leader and former RTC chairman Gone Prakash Rao on Thursday asked the Telugu Desam Party leaders to stop projecting Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime minister Manmohan Singh as corrupt leaders.

Talking to media persons at LB Stadium, Mr Prakash Rao stated that people of the state and country know who the most corrupt person in the country is.

The Congress leader reminded that the people elected Congress for second time due to its administrative skills and implementation of schemes and programmes for the benefit of poor and middleclass people.

Mr Prakash Rao said that TDP leaders have no moral right to talk about the Prime Minister and Ms Sonia Gandhi. He said that if Naidu speaks on corruption in Congress it is nothing but the ‘Devil quoting Scriptures’.

The former RTC chairman claimed that the people of the state had rejected Mr Naidu in the elections as ‘corruption had touched a pinnacle during his tenure’.

The Congress leader advised Mr Naidu that, “if he was so keen to fight against corruption, he should form a Front with leaders of like-minded parties and wage a relentless war at the National Level.”

“If Mr Naidu establishes this Front against corruption at National level, I would also extend whole hearted support to him by submitting a resignation to the Congress party,” Mr Prakash Rao vowed.
