VFX supervisor shares how Adipurush makers acted on criticism. It is known that the makers of Adipurush got a huge shock when they released the film's teaser. People blasted them for the substandard graphics and VFX and also accused the makers of tampering with the Hindu epic Ramayan. They said Lord Hanuman, and Demon King Rawan looked like Muslim invaders and others looked like cartoon characters.

Some even went on to file petitions in the courts seeking their direction to prevent the film from release. This scared the makers who postponed the film's release from Jan 2023 by six months to June 2023. From then on they worked overtime and now the recently released trailer and the first two songs got tremendous response and positive vibes.

People started wondering how the makers managed this stunning turnaround. Prasad Sutar, a VFX supervisor who worked for Adipurush speaking to scribes, shared the secrets.

"We have been working for almost four years on the shoot. After the kind of reaction that the teaser received, we got almost nine months till the release date. Look, we can't change things completely. The basic challenge that remained after the reaction was to re-correct the characters in the animation. We fine-tuned it. In the little time that we got, we only worked towards improving things. We are making it more real. This is a technical aspect. There were also efforts made to rectify the shortcomings in the performances. Other than that, the correction of lights and color was also taken into note. The core story will remain the same. Whatever issues were found, we have tried to fix them by accepting them."

"We are still doing aggressive work. We will find peace only after June 16 now. We have seven studios where we are working on the film simultaneously. When the trailer got a positive response, there was a kind of good energy we all found. After the response of the teaser, we divided our film into seven parts. Each studio was given a task. For example, one team took care of the animation while the other looked after the color correction. Everyone's work was divided. The biggest challenge was how to distribute the film. Due to the large scale, we divided it into seven parts. Out of these seven studios, two are in Chennai, four are in Mumbai and one is in Kerala. All seven of us are working together."
