Caste is dearer than life for many

Caste is dearer than life for many feel all the right-thinking people. Though this trend has been prevalent in the couNtry for many decades, right-thinking people are getting disgusted as many are regarding caste as dearer than their life when it comes to even the CouNtry's international recognition.

The way people, especially those in the two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh reacted to the success of Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR getting international recognition and Naatu Naatu song getting shortlisted at the Oscars after winning many awards and rewards at the internal level left all shocked. Even the way people reacted when Hollywood celebrities praises Ntr and Ram Charan, made many wonders whether people do not rise behind petty caste thinking and politics.

When RRR got shortlisted for international awards, they belittled the film and then even the Naatu Naatu song. There are many who celebrated when RRR did not make the final cut for the best feature film at the Oscars. When few in Hollywood predicted Oscars for Ntr and Ram Charan, they put a caste angle to it.

The way they tried to marginalize the enormous success of RRR and the accolades Ntr, Ram Charan, and Naatu Naatu song is getting just to the caste angle, is belittling the hard work and the effort put by the entire cast and crew of the project for many years. Instead of praying that the RRR song Naatu Naatu gets the Oscars in the best original song category, there are many who are influenced by the case and are praying that it does not get the award.

This narrow mindset revolving around caste is bringing down the couNtry's efforts to take a giant leap at the international level. Not only in films but in all professions and even during elections, people are choosing their preferences getting biased as per their caste preferring their own set of people and in the process sidelining what's good for the state or the couNtry. People preferring caste rather than couNtry and instead choosing to die giving away their life if their caste is not highlighted is becoming a huge problem in the couNtry.
