Mega Star Chiranjeevi of late is getting criticized by not only movie lovers but also mega fans for preferring to do remakes rather than original films. Chiranjeevi's Acharya which turned out to be original bombed at the box office while Godfather which is a remake of Malayalam film Lucifer is doing well.

Chiranjeevi has been interacting with the scribes after Godfather response and now speaking to scribes, Chiranjeevi spoke about remake troubles. He said "Remaking is not that easy. While remaking we should not forget our tastes. Changes should be made in the story keeping in mind the market. There the hero image has to be balanced. Tollywood owns the largest film market after Bollywood."

Chiranjeevi added "You will not see other stories in Telugu if you take them as they are. Vijay Kanth acted as the hero in 'Ramana' directed by Muragadas. The hero dies in the climax of the movie. But the same movie was remade as Tagore. Here the hero does not die. If that happens theatres will be demolished The reason the movie became a hit was because the hero 'Tagore' did not die."

Chiranjeevi continued "Not only me.Movie lovers will not accept if the hero character dies in it even if it happens to be other heroes. If that happens, the movie will flop. For example, Nagarjuna's 'Antam', Mahesh's 'Babi', Prabhas' 'Chakram'.
