Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Acharya is the cynosure of all eyes. The film directed by Koratala Shiva features Chiranjeevi romancing Kajal Agarwal while Ram Charan is playing a powerful role and is romancing Pooja Hegde. Chiranjeevi is seen in dual roles and in one role he will be seen as a Naxalite along with Ram Charan. The film is a powerful take on corruption involved in temple lands in the endowments department of the government. 

Now, speculation is increasing that the film is an inspiration from the real life incidents.  Buzz is the story of this Acharya film is known to have been inspired by the real life happenings in Srikakulam district during the seventies. During that time, Subbarao Panigrahi, started a movement in a village called Bodupadu at that time.Subbarao came from Orissa and was a priest in a Shiva temple in this village and started a movement against the landlords. His life also came to be known as the life of Subbarao Panigrahi as a book.

His movement was later taken over by his younger brother Hemachandra Panigrahi. During the same period, Naxalites like Adibhatla Kailasam and Vempati Satyam also joined the movement from the same village to Subbarao. Both of them worked as teachers and motivated the people there.

Speculation is on that Koratala drew insipiration from the real life incidents  and named the film as Acharya. Koratala Shiva made subtle changes  in the book on Subbarao Panigrahi and came with Acharya storyline.
