The ongoing controversy over the ticket prices in the state of Andhra Pradesh is having shocking repercussions. Already many theatre owners expressed their inability to run the theatres at such low rates fixed by the Government's new GO. To the top of it, government officials raiding the theatres across Andhra Pradesh and closing various theatres is complicating the issue.

In the midst of all this, India's biggest screen became the latest and the most important causality. V Epiq theater decided to shut down its operations and close the theatre as the management found it extremely difficult to tun the theatre at the low ticket rates at Rs 30. UV Creations owns V Epiq theater and it is equipped with the 3rd largest screen in the world and the largest in South Asia.

V Epiq theatre is situated at Sullurupeta, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. If this continues in this manner, many more theatres may take the same route.
