Is Pushpa meant for Mahesh Babu?

Ever since Sukumar teamed with Allu Arjun and announced Pushpa project after his much talked about the project with Mahesh Babu got delayed continuously, rumours triggered that Sukumar narrated the story of Pushpa having forest backdrop and sandalwood smuggling to Mahesh Babu and Mahesh Babu rejected it as he was not convinced and as he was not keen to undergo a transformation for the role of a lorry driver.

After seeing Allu Arjun's first look as Pushpa Raj in a rugged avatar with a beard and mass look, everyone felt the same. But Sukumar maintained the stoic silence. Now speaking to scribes, Sukumar clarified on whether he narrated Pushpa story to Mahesh Babu. He said ' I did narrate a story to Mahesh Babu. But that is different from Allu Arjun's Pushpa. The backdrops of both the stories may be the same and may have some similarities but both are completely different'

Sukumar's clarification may put an end to the rumors that Sukumar narrated Pushpa story to Mahesh Babu.
