Ticket Rates Issue: TV9 Should Not Do It

Ticket rates in AP have turned out to be the burning issue at the moment. AP CM Jagan Reddy is understood to have taken the childish decision out of jealousy and hatred for the big stars of Tollywood. Tollywood's top filmmakers have already tried to get the issue solved through negotiations with the government. However, all their attempts appeared to have gone futile. 

If the government continues to its adamant stand on low pricing of the ticket rates, the top filmmakers will have no other option except to head for a legal battle. 

In the meanwhile, RRR's producer DVV Danayya expressed his anguish on the AP government's decision during the press meet of RRR convened on 11th of December. He said low ticket pricing would not workout for big films. 

Since Telugu film industry has fallen to a deep crisis owing to the awkward decision of the AP government, the AP media should have joined hands to protest against the government's decision. However, no such signs of agitation from the media have been noticed at the moment. On the contrary, Tv9, which is suspected to be the YCP biased channel, broadcast DVV Danayya's anguish in a humiliating manner in the super prime time news. The background commentary ran in a mocking manner as if it were a humourous incident. When a deadly serious issue is reported, the commentators/anchors should have kept their senses under control. Tv9 should immediately correct the background voice of the commentator and should give him frequent trainings for better background voice. Further, Tv9 should tender apologies to Tollywood, if possible.
