The cap on ticket prices in theatres by the Ap Government headed by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy sounded like a death knell to the Tollywood industry. However, till now, those associated with Tollywood are not reacting as they should have to make an impact on the powers that be.

Even before these massive developments, Power Star Pawan Kalyan roared and thundered speaking against the ticket prices in the theatres, exposing the Ap Government's intentions. Prior to that when Nani spoke about ticket prices and theatres issues, everyone remained silent. After Pawan Kalyan roared, except for young heroes like Karthikeya, everyone disassociated with him and even became apologetic sending feelers to the Ap Government.

They expected the things will turn for good but much to their shock, disaster struck. Chiranjeevi on various occasions came with multiple requests to AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to reconsider the decision and even fumed at times. Even at that time, none of them came forward to support him. A couple of days back, Balakrishna in a mellowed manner requested the Ap Government to think over the ticket prices.

When rumors spread about Trivikram Srinivas' alleged tweet criticizing the government's decision, within minutes came the clarification in an apologetic manner. Till now biggies like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, and others did not speak while Suresh Babu decided to opt for OTT releases. Since he does small films, it is a viable option for him. But for big filmmakers and producers like Dil Raju and Rajamouli, things are not at all rosy. Shockingly unity is missing in Tollywood and one feels everyone should join hands before it is too late.
